Print Work

All custom prints start with original artwork created in Delfina Balda’s Brooklyn studio. The process begins with an idea or impression. The next step is to create drawings and assemblages inspired by these concepts, incorporating materials such as pastels, silk swatches, oil pastels, and threads. Once each final piece emerges, it is translated into the final garment as wearable art. This technique is fundamentally natural and involves much experimentation with different structures and elements in order to draw out the emotions and intuition present in the creator.
